
The Internet age has created unprecedented opportunities for information sharing, and it is the responsibility of The Office of Court Technology to ensure that the judges, support staff and administrative personnel of the 15th Judicial Circuit have complete access to all the information they need. Court Technology works closely with state and local agencies not only to facilitate the flow of information to the Court system but also to broaden the spectrum of information sources available to the Courts. Connections to databases such as DCF, FDLE DAVID and DVIS provide information about cases and parties that provide a more complete picture to the judiciary. The Office of Court Technology is managed by the Court Technology Officer under the direction of the Chief Judge and the Trial Court Administrator. Network Administrators, Systems Administrators, a Certified Webmaster, a Programmer,Computer Specialists and a Trainer comprise the staff dedicated to the support and development of information services to the 15th Circuit. Court Technology provides the following services:
Services Provided to the Judiciary - Developing the technical needs of the judiciary through the implementation of new technologies such as video conferencing, wireless networking, and video streaming
- Technical Support for The 15th Circuit's Centralized Court Recording system.
- Desktop and Judicial Support of the Palm Beach County JIS Project's CIVIS and CJIS programs for the judiciary
- Coordinating the development of the 15th Judicial Circuit Web Portal (http://15thcircuit.com)
- Providing courtroom desktop technical support for the Clerk of Court
- Maintaining state of the art training rooms for technology seminars
- Testing /implementation of new software to the judiciary
- Network administration for all judges, judicial assistants and court administration personnel
- Desktop/laptop support for all judges, judicial assistants and court administration personnel
- Planning/purchasing of automation hardware for the 15th

15th Circuit Technology Fast Facts - Court Technology supports over 650 desktops/laptops throughout the five Palm Beach County Courthouses.
- Court Technology currently has 6 video conferencing suites deployed throughout Palm Beach County.
- The digital court recording system supported by Court Technology was the first in the state and third in the nation of its kind. Implementation of this system has resulted in an estimated $750,000 annually Palm Beach County.
- Certifications held by the Court Technology staff include Microsoft Certified IT Professional (Enterprise Administrator), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Microsoft Certified Professional, Certified Novell Administrator, and Certified Internet Webmaster (CIWa).
