Program Description
Family Connections provides a child-friendly secured environment and trained personnel to schedule and supervise time sharing and monitored exchanges as court ordered between children and family members. Family Connections provides the court with updated information regarding compliance of the court order and copies of the Time Sharing Observation notes if requested.
Services Provided
Supervised Time Sharing
Supervised Time Sharing provides a safe, child friendly place for children and Away parents to spend time together, and to have a documented factual account of what is said and done during the visit. Home Parent and Away Parent never arrive at the same time to ensure there is no contact between them during the time sharing. All time sharing is Sight and Sound- the monitor is sitting with the family at all times and taking detailed notes about what is said and done during the time sharing.

Monitored Exchange
Monitored Exchange is a process where the Home Parent drops off their child at Family Connections so that the Away parent may pick them up and have overnight, unsupervised time sharing with their child(ren). Family Connections only supervises the exchange of the child(ren). The Away Parent then brings the child back to Family Connections so the Home Parent can pick them up. Home and Away Parents never arrive at the same time to ensure there is no contact between them during the exchange. Our goal is to provide a safe, child friendly place to exchange children and protect them from conflicts between the Home and Away parents.
Mini-Monitored Exchange is another type of exchange that allows for the Home parent to drop off their child at Family Connections and for the Away parent to pick up their child and have a 2 hour unsupervised time sharing off-site and then return the child to Family Connections. Family Connections only supervises the exchange. Home and Away parents never arrive at the same time to ensure there is no contact between them during the exchange.

Cost of Services
Supervised Time Sharing costs $25 per visit. The Judge determines who is responsible to pay the fee or the Judge may waive the fee completely
Monitored Exchange and Mini Monitored Exchange costs $10 per exchange; the Judge determines who is responsible to pay the fee or the Judge may waive the fee completely.
Length of Service
Time Sharing Orders are for 6 months in duration. A status check may be scheduled with the Court one month prior to the expiration date of the Order.
