Amy S. Borman has served as the Fifteenth Circuit's General Counsel since January, 2007. As the circuit's first General Counsel, she provides legal services to the judiciary, oversees the
Trial Court Law Clerks and Summer Judicial Intern program, reviews and updates the circuit's Administrative Orders, monitors legislation important to the court, addresses public record's requests to the judiciary and works with the Chief Judge and Trial Court Administrator on legal matters affecting the circuit.
Ms. Borman received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology and Law from the University of Florida and her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. Admitted to the Florida Bar in October 1992, she spent three years in private practice in Boca Raton, three years as an Assistant Legal Advisor to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, and then nine years working part-time practicing civil and employment litigation as well as teaching a variety of law courses at Florida Atlantic University, Lynn University and Nova Southeastern University.
