Wednesday
Morning – Traffic and Misdemeanor Case Dispositions, Motions, Pleas, non-jury trials,Violations of Probation.
Afternoon – Juvenile Delinquency Cases
Thursday
Morning – Felony Case Dispositions, Motions Pleas, non-jury trials, Violations ofProbation.
Afternoon – Trials or Special sets.
Fridays
Morning – Felony Arraignments
First Friday of each Month, afternoon, municipal ordinance violations, Belle Glade and Pahokee.
First Appearances are done on a daily basis (Monday thru Friday) at Belle Glade at 8:45 A.M.
Warrants and Petitions for Injunctions are reviewed by Judge Bailey on an as needed basis throughout the day.
AGREED MOTIONS
Agreed Motions need to be submitted in a timely manner to Judge Bailey for his review.
Extra copies, and stamped, addressed envelopes are to be included.
CASE DISPOSITIONS
Case dispositions are scheduled by the Clerk/Comptroller’s Office.
TRIALS AND SPECIAL SETS
Trials and Special Sets are scheduled by the Judge, in open court, or by contacting the
Judicial Assistant to Judge Nelson E. Bailey. (Maryann Yarosz @ 561-966-4841)
Only non-jury trials are set in Belle Glade, should a defendant request a trial by jury, the
case will be forwarded to a division at the Main Courthouse.
MEDIATION
Mediation for County Court Civil Cases is held at 1:30 P.M. every 2nd Tuesday, 1 hour
prior to final hearings.Mediation for Family matters is held the last Thursday of each month.
