- Any motion 5 minutes or less can be set by the attorney’s office for any Tuesday thru Friday at 8:45 a.m. All parties must receive notice and our office must receive a courtesy copy;
- Any motion over 5 minutes must be submitted in writing to our office with a cover letter indicated how long the motion will need, if there are any time constraints,when the case is next set and what it is next set for. Judge Cohen will special set by written order;
- We do not accept faxes without prior approval of the judicial assistant;
- We do not hold telephonic hearings without prior approval of the Judge.
- If a continuance is requested, it must either be stipulated to or set for a motion hearing. Either case, the proposed order must be submitted to our office.Stipulated continuances will not automatically be approved.
- All orders submitted, must have sufficient copies for distribution and envelopes.
- Judge Cohen rarely accepts stipulated motions to recall warrants. These must be set for 5 minute hearing with the defendant present.
- If the Court has ordered the defendant to be present for the hearing, the client’s presence may not be waived.
- Please call the Court’s judicial assistant if you are running late for your hearing;
